Performance Coaching - Playing an instrument or recording vocals in the studio is infinitely different than performing or rehearsing a song. We use intuition to guide conversations in the studio so that artists connect with their fullest potential and achieve their best take of each component of their song.

RECORD ENGINEERING
There’s an art to recording that is often overlooked. At The Panda Studios, we place great emphasis on choosing the right equipment and achieving a precise microphone setup to get the desired end result.
Live Drums - The Panda Studios has two live rooms and an arsenal of drums so you can achieve the perfect drum sound for your next release.
Guitar & Bass - There is a wide selection of Sam’s personal favourite amplifiers, cabinets, instruments, and effects so you can dial in the perfect guitar and bass tones for your music.
Vocals - The broad selection of microphones, preamps, hardware, and spaces to record at The Panda Studios allow each artist to capture unique vocal performances
Keyboards & Synthesizers - Vintage and modern instruments, each with MIDI capabilities and their own unique flavors.
Percussion - We have a wide selection of shakers, tambourines, and odd percussion instruments for the unique needs of each song.
Brass & Woodwind - Yes, we can record your horns!
MIXING
In the mixing stage, the goal is to enhance the impact, depth, and clarity of a performance by combining the hundreds of tracks created during the recording process.
Tailored Mixing Formula - Many come to Panda Studios to gain that authentic sound, achieved through our tailored mixing strategies which are specific to the client.
Balancing – With an assortment of analog gear to complement the latest digital trends, The Panda Studios artfully combines technology to enhance the clarity of your composition and find balance with the individual elements.
Adding Movement – Through deliberate addition of effects and compression, we create physical excursion on the speakers to add depth and impact to your song.
MASTERING
In this final stage of production, we take care to ensure that each play-back medium receives the optimal deliverable format and that the sonic image is retained across listening systems.
Loudness & Tonal Balance - Each listening platform requires us to make specific adjustments and produce different file types to ensure the desired sound is consistent across different mediums.
Digital & Vinyl – We specialize in mastering for both digital and vinyl, attending to the unique specifications of each format.
ISRC Code Encoding – We offer ISRC encoding, which is a standardized method of labelling a recording, like a digital fingerprint, as a means of identification for royalty payments. Essentially, this means embedding the important information into your files that allow the radio station to see the song name & artist; as well as allow the artist to maintain their intellectual property.
EDITING & REAMPING
Sam isn’t shy about boasting that he is the fastest drum, guitar, bass and vocal editor in the game. He is known for his keen attention to detail and his obsession with modifying gear in search of a unique, one-of-a-kind sounds.
Drum Quantizing - Tightening up drums to achieve a modern and polished sounding drum performance.
Vocal Tuning - Pitch correction as needed for a radio-ready vocal sound. Addition of vocal harmonies, doubles, and group vocals to add depth and interest.
Vocal Time Alignment - Clean, tight vocal harmonies, doubles, and gang vocals.
Sample Replacement/Augmentation - Access to Sam Pura’s hand-selected sample collection to elevate your drums with the signature sound of The Panda Studios.
Direct Instrument Reamping - Taking direct instrument (DI) guitar, bass, or other tracks, and processing them through our tried and true selection of amplifiers, speaker cabinets, effects, and hardware.
